Evergreen Companies, a self-performing facilities maintenance company specializing in the maintenance and support of commercial and industrial facilities, recently announced the promotion of Karla Porter to Director of People and Communications.
Using the skills and experience gained during more than 20 years of working in human resources, marketing, technology and more, Porter will develop and oversee the growing Human Resources department, along with the Marketing Department, internal and external communications.
Porter joined the Evercor family in August of 2017 as Human Resources Recruiter. Previously, she served as the Director of Workforce Development and Human Resources at the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Business and Industry, and Director of Programs and Marketing for The Arc of Luzerne County. Porter is an advisory board member for The Greenhouse Center, co-founder of NEPA BlogCon, and a veteran of the United States Air Force. She is an alumna of Luzerne County Community College and Temple University.
